Legalized Translations in French

Legalized translations refer to documents which are translated into the languages that are of interest for our clients, and which are always concluded by persons who are certified to provide translation services into given languages.

This means that not all persons who know specific foreign languages will have the right to translate documents, as this right is granted by those who received the appropriate certifications for this activity.

Our team of Romanian translators are qualified to provide legalized translations in numerous foreign languages, the most common being English, French or German, which are languages that are used at a global level. Thus, if you are seeking for a Romanian to French translator or you need legalized translations in French, you can easily address our specialists.

What are legalized translations in French?

The legalized translation defines a document which is translated into a language that you require your document to be translated into, and which is done by a person who has the legal right to do so.

Legalized translations are generally documents that are requested by state authorities and, after the translator in Romania has made the official translation, then the document must be legalized in front of a public notary.

Please know that the notary does not legalize the translated text, but rather the stamp and the signature of the translator in Romania who was in charge with the translation. The notary’s participation simply attests that the translator is an individual who is registered in the official lists of Romanian translators.

The translation process

Thus, if you need a legalized translation in French, this means that you will provide us with your document (in person, via e-mail or other communication means – but we prefer to have the original version of the document and, in most of the situations, our translator in Romania is legally required to operate solely with the document in the original, paper form).

After this, we will translate from Romanian to French by maintaining the meaning of all words and sentences and by providing the most accurate translation of the respective document not only from a language point of view, but from a legal point of view as well, this being a crucial matter when developing this activity.

Here, we mention that we can also translate from French to Romanian, in the situation in which you need your French documents submitted with the Romanian institutions (the local authorities will always require all types of documents translated into Romanian, as this is the sole national language of the country and it is legally required to have all the documents stored into the Romanian language).

Types of documents

Regardless of the language that you have to prepare your documents, our Romanian translators can provide translations from the Romanian language into the language that you need, as well as from the said language into Romanian. For the French language, our Romanian to French translator can assist you in matters related to the following:

  1. intellectual property documents;
  2. real estate;
  3. dispute resolutions;
  4. personal documents.

Of course, our legalized translations in French can include corporate documents, such as: incorporation documents, company registration certificates, business contracts, rental contracts for companies, financial reports, etc.

Please mind that the rates that are charged by our translator in Romania can vary based on the language in which the translation will be made.

As a client, you should know that foreign languages which are less accessible will generally have higher fees, as opposed to languages on common usage (such as when we translate from Romanian to French or when we translate from French to Romanian). The fees can be influenced by the complexity of the document as well.

What personal documents can our team translate in French?

Legalized translations in French for personal documents can refer to literally any type of document concerning the identity, work experience, civil status, financial situation, etc. of a natural person. Our Romanian translators have a long experience in dealing with the following paperwork concerning individuals:

  1. identity documents – passport, identity card;

  3. documents concerning the civil situation of a person – marriage certificate, birth certificate, divorce documents, etc.;
  4. real estate documents – rental contracts, utility bills, sale-purchase contracts, inheritance documents, etc.

Individuals who need medical services outside Romania, such as in France, will need to have legalized translations in French of their medical records in Romania, and our team can prepare the translation of such papers.

What services can clients obtain when requesting legalized translations in French?

The services of our Romanian translators are tailored in accordance with the specific needs of each client. However, our services usually include the following:
